1. As a woman the study of religion and classical studies were seen as prominent and important studies for women. These studies helped to good mothers, wives, domestic virtues, and women of strong judgment. The subjects that were not recommended where the studies of literature. Literature studies were thought to be judgmental in prominent instances to knowledge that was unfavorable by societies opinions.
2. These recommendations helped in the advancement of women by allowing them to be seen as domestic and virtuous women. The fluency of expression in these studies gave way for distinct opinions that were accepted by educated opinions and minds.
3. The new learning helped with the women seeming to have preserved a moral and intellectual balance under the ideas of new enthusiasm. This enthusiasm became viewed as being better than men. If I was around during this time I would have viewed this as a prominent advancement in women coming up in the world and being viewed as more than just house wives and mothers.
