The myth involves the creation of
the earth. This involves the creation
of the plants, people, the sea and the
land. In the beginning, everything in
the world was mixed with another
germ of life. The germ started to mix
all things around and around until all
the parts that were heavy sank. The
parts that were lighter rose where a
muddy sea was created and covered
the whole world. A green shoot
grew from nowhere and became a
tall tree that grew into the clouds
and later became a god. The god
grew created other gods where
Izanagi and Izanami who were the
last to be created. As they were
adventuring the world, they became
curious, and one of them threw a
staff into the waters and pulled some
clumps of mud. The mad grew and
became the Japanese islands. On the
islands, they created all the plants
and animals and later decided to
marry each other. The first born girl,
Izanami, became the sun and the
second one, Tsuki-yami, became the
moon. The third born was a boy who
