The Story about Tammy, a middle-aged woman, raising four teenage kids all by herself is a story
that helps many identify themselves with the lower class people living in the society. This lady
Tammy has to walk 10 miles from her home to her workplace on a daily basis, so as to provide a
good living for her kids. This essay shows and describes the characteristics that mark people
belonging to different classes and also shows how one’s self-image and expectations could get
