In the late 14th century, the Europeans realized the existence of two American continents
i.e. South and North America. The European explorers, therefore, developed a motive to tour the
Atlantic world hence the adoption of the name the New World. The new continent was
discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1492 unknowingly. His motives were to find a shorter
