The Cold War was comprised of political tension between the Soviet Union and the US
and its allies after the Second World War. The war never involved any significant war combat
between the two sides that is why the term "cold." However, both sides were in support of proxy
wars which involved regional conflicts (Morgan, 2010). Major events occurred during this war
