The job characteristics
model suggests that workers have the likelihood to respond differently to a
similar job. Under this model, it is feasible to change the position so as to
increase satisfaction and motivation. That consequently results in improved performance.
The form of job attributes than can be modified include autonomy, task
significance, task variety and job based feedback. If employees are matched to
jobs with features that meet their individual attributes, that will result into
an increased employee desire to perform impeccably.
