Here the sequence is in geometric progression with common ratio =.5

The first term is 1


 =155/16 (as a fraction)

b)The term here are can be found out by substituting the value of j=1,2,...9


So the sum =>-4+(-4)^2+(-4)^3+-------(-4)^9

  So here the first term is -4 and total number of term =9

Common ratio,r=-4
