x+y+s=4

2x+y+t = 6

s>=0 , t>=0 , x>=0, y>=0 

solve x y in terms of s and t 

x = s-t+2, y = t-2s+2 

P = 3x+4y = 3s-3t+6 +4t-8s+8 = t-5s+14

maximum at s=0 and maximize t, 

s=0, we have x = 2-t>=0 , maximum t =2, 

y= t+2 =4

and maximum = 16 = 3x+4y
