The company’s services are dependent on technology which exposes the shop to cyberattacks. The company creates different designs that put it at an advantage. Malicious individuals
can hack into the database and have access to the designs (Rizov, 2018). They can also access the
financial information of the shop’s clients. Some clients place orders online meaning that they
make payments online. Hackers can get a hold of this sensitive information.
The company doesn’t print hard copies. It sends information to clients via the internet,
portable drives, or smartphones. This exposes the company to many risks. For example, the
portable drives might be infected by a virus, and when opened in the shop’s computers, the virus
will get launched into the computer system.
Internal Threats
The company employees may decide to send files into their smartphones without the
knowledge of the shop owner. Files can be sent to a client’s smartphone, which means that an
employee can transfer the files to their phone without getting detected. Also, employees can send
more information to the client than the amount of information they were to send. For example, a
client may pay for ten pictures, but the employee sends 25 pictures to the client without the
knowledge of the owner. If it were hard copies, the owner could know because they will count the
number of papers used, but since its soft copy, they may be unaware of the number of copies sent.
