Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

The reproductive system is made of Gonads for producing gametes and hormones; ducts for reception and transportation of gametes; accessory glands and organs for secretion of fluids into ducts; perineal structures known collectively as external genitalia. In both males and females the ducts connect to passageways and chambers opening to the body exterior. Involved structures form the reproductive tract.

The male and female systems are functionally different.  In males, the testes/male gonad secretes androgens, produce male gametes (spermatozoa).  During emission, mature spermatozoa mix with secretions from accessory glands to form semen and are expelled from the body during ejaculation. In females, the female gonads/ovaries release a single immature oocyte monthly which travels through uterine tubes to a muscular organ/uterus. If a sperm reaches the oocyte fertilization occurs and the oocyte matures to an ovum. A passageway/vagina connects the uterus to the exterior.
