The three adhesion factors are 

Flagella ,fimbrae and glycocalyx  

Their role is that they have sticky coat  that helps them to stick on the host 

They ensure inability in attachment proteins which renders microorganisms prevalent

Changing of their receptors prevents infection

some bacterial pathogens attach to each other to form a biofilm
