2. Random variable X varies from 0 to 50.

Consider, 3 standard deviations (99.7% of the data falls within 3 standard deviations) -

Maximum = 30 + (3*3.46) = 40.38  

Minimum = 30-(3*3.46) = 19.62

So, Range that is likely to include the number of male students who have gambled on sports = Maximum - Minimum = 40.38 - 19.62 = 20.76
