Introduction
Bullying of young people in social media is gaining momentum globally. Almost all social
media subscribers have experienced bullying in one way or another. Despite various mechanism
put in place to curb cyberbullying, no amicable and reliable solution has been found. In this paper,
Amanda Todd, a 15-year old girl, experienced both cyberbullying, physical bullying, and verbal
bullying to the extent that she decided to commit suicide.

Cyberbullying – Unknown person sent Amanda threatening message on Facebook.

Amanda was shocked to realize that the unknown guy knew her name, family, relatives, and
school. Also, her photos went viral on Facebook, and many people disliked her.


Physical bullying – Amanda was seduced but later bitten and dumped in a ditch.

Her attacker pretended to love her with the intention of just having sex. She was rescued by her
dad, who passed by.


Verbal bullying – Amanda was judged, abused, and called names by her friends.
