Question Description

My teachers sometimes gives trick problems.

Element Name: ? Symbol: ? Atomic Number: 35 Atomic Mass: 80 Charge: -1 Protons: 35 Neutrons: 80 Electrons: 36

The bolded is the numbers on the worksheet already, the non-bolded is what I put.

But when add the Protons and Neutrons, I get 116 as the new atomic mass.

How do I write the symbol or blanks as then?

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

We have the charge as -1

So the total electron=Atomic number+1=Proton number+1 =35+1=36

Atomic number=Number of proton=35

Atomic mass =Proton+Neutron =35+80 =115

Element Name=Bromine

Symbol :

I hope this would help you,but if you have any doubt regarding this, you can surely ask. :)
