As the sample space varies from 1 to 10 and the we have to find E such that it is an odd number less than 10.

So we have to find the odd number lying from from 1 to 10.

So the odd numbers are 1,3,5,7,9

E={1,3,5,7,9}  

So the required probability =outcome/total event =5/10 =.5 (ans)

And the outcome E is the subset of the sample space.
