In a nutshell the No child left Behind act affects a good amount of local, state, and federal government policies related to education. The main Benefit for the act requires the Government to spend a budget on Children under the age of 18 to get a proper education here in the United states. The Issue however is that there is no real regulation on how it is funded here in the United states. Local and State laws can mandate Testing and threaten funding to be removed if the school is not hitting proficient marks. Furthermore, students can be hurting in low income areas due to these laws considering that there is no effort given by the teachers to actually teach and instead, focus on the issues in the standardized testing giving the opportunity to the student to be lackluster. Finally, the law has not been updated since Bill clinton has been in office causing many new issues with learning in general in the USA
