Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

Generational gaps in work places are one of the major drives of a company. This is due to the fact that every generation needs to learn from an earlier generation so as to know the Do's and Don'ts. There are four main generations in the work place and they include the Traditionalists, Millenialists, Baby boomers and Generation X.

All these are mentors to each other except the last generarion. Having an understanding of the gaps enhances respect in work environments and also enhances growth of the company. This is because one knows where to go for help in a particular area and also who to assign what task depending on speed and knowledge. This is because knowledge and skill is improved over time and also the younger generations are believed to be faster in accomplishing tasks.

In a hospital setting, there can be a generational gap that is indicayed by my experience as narrated below.

I was once in a meeting discussing with the hospital management how we can collect data for the District on new bacterial infections and how long it would take to cure. We also wanted to identify the best practise in treating such? My opinion of a mobile app was pushed aside faster than it came up and the explanation I got was that even the basic mobile apps that exist are a headache and complicating this further would cause even some people suffer from heart illnesses.

Please let me know if you need any clarification or modification. I'm always happy to answer your questions. Thank you for offering me this opportunity.
