How do fungi reproduce?

Dec 8th, 2015

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

Fungi can reproduce both sexually or asexually. Sexual production is done with heterothallic or homothallic mycelia. Asexual reproduction is done by fragmentation, spores or budding. Most of the fungi produce spores in their fruiting body that is above the ground and release and reproduce through these tiny spores into new fungi by germination. Mostly spores spread by air or sometimes fungi shoot the spores by an explosive burst.
