Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!
The team where I was a member was a church youth missions team. I played the role among the organizing party for a major fundraising event. The event was geared towards raising funds to buy some electronic equipment for the church's youth ministry. Together with some other 4 people, we were engaged with the task of garnering some 10 people who would offer to support the project financially. Initially, it was a challenge and we were almost discouraged to the point of giving up since there were no volunteers. However, a day later, we had some five volunteers. This encouraged us to keep looking and not give up on the idea.
As a member of the organizing team, I personally was expected to offer support to the other members as we approached people whom we identified as possible candidates. I was also expected to give advice on how each member was to be approached. This was basically dependent on the place in the social circle of the society.
Personally, I was very pleased to offer my services and insight towards the achievement of the project's goals. It actually felt very god knowing that you were a part of a ministry that was bringing hope to the youth. The project fired quite well as we were able to acquire enough cash to pay off all debts and have some left after purchasing the equipment we required. Generally, it was a success. Please let me know if you need any clarification. I'm always happy to answer your questions.
