Explanation & Answer

hello

              first the equation was           6 + a - 2b = 3
 subtract (6-2b) from both sides.so,    6+ a - 2b - (6-2b)= 3 - (6-2b)
                                                          6 + a - 2b - 6 +2b = 3 -6 +2b
                                                          6 - 6 + a -2b +2b = 3 - 6 +2b
                                                             0    + a +   0      =   -3  + 2b
                                                                                 a    =  -3 +  2b
                                                                                 a    = 2b - 3........................answer
this is how you get ,   a = 2b -3
