The fact that Youths who commit crimes live within us, it is
dangerous, and hence the reason they need to be tried as adults, because they
may end up doing the same thing over and over again. According to Jessica
Wilde, “all crimes committed by juveniles need and must be looked at in the same
way as what is done to adults. In case the crimes initiated are adult in
nature, it is appropriate to try them as adults as it teaches them to evade
from such events in future (Hudson et al., 2010). Children tend to adapt to
certain events if they are not punished, hence opting to judge a child
differently and yet he or she has committed murder will encourage them to
undertake the same task in future. Significantly, children need to be tried in
the same way as adults so as to stop the trait in future. Lastly, children need
to be treated as adults as it shows that the society is willing to drive them
in the right direction (Myers, 2005).
