BMW AG is an international company founded in multinational company which 1916 in
Germany. The company’s headquarters are in Munich, Bavaria. BMW AG a producer of
automobiles. However, the company also made aircraft engines until 1945. BMW produces motor
vehicles in Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, India, China, South Africa, and
Brazil. BMW emerged as the world's twelfth largest producer of motor vehicles in 2015, with
2,279,503 vehicles produced for the year. The company’s automobiles are marketed under the
brands BMW. BMW has sub-brands BMW M for performance models and BMW i for plug-in
electric cars), Rolls Royce and Mini. Also, the company markets its motorcycles under the brand
BMW Motorrad. The organization has substantial motorsport history, mostly in Formula 1, touring
cars, the Isle of Man TT, and sports cars. Although BMW has competed favorably in the
automobile industry, the company has faced significant challenges which has made the company
not to perform at its full potential. The purpose of the paper is to discuss the major issue facing
