Introduction
Companies globally have incorporated varying degrees and methods of total quality
management systems that are relevant and specific to their objectives. With PepsiCo, to survive
the market and competition, they anchor their products towards areas in which providing
consumers quality, adhering to customer satisfaction, affordability, and flexible pricing are vital
(Kwan et al, 2019). Also, PepsiCo anchors their products towards healthier living and taking into
consideration the cultural dynamism are critical selling points. With the given structural
approach, PepsiCo manages to satisfy the aspect of total quality which is a fundamental pillar of
total quality management.
Production Processes and Adheres to Mission Statement
PepsiCo makes their bottled, fountain, and can drink via clarifying their water, filtering
and dechlorinating the water, mixing of the ingredients, carbonating the drinks, and filing the
packaging. When it pertains to the quality of the water, it is a vital component of the success of
PepsiCo’s beverages. Impurities, organic matter, and bacteria are suspended due to them
affecting the taste of the beverage. Once the water is clarified and filtered to meet the tastes
PepsiCo delivers to consumers through their beverages, the mixing of the ingredients is via a
process of dissolving the sugar and flavor concentrates in which is pumped into a station in a
predetermined order regarding their capabilities (Kwan et al, 2019). Then flavors such as syrup
are carefully combined with the water by machines that proportionally adheres to the set ratios of
each given product.
The carbonation of the beverage is generally added to finish the development and process
of the beverage. Once these processes are complete, PepsiCo transfers their finished products

into bottles and cans to be shipped to larger distribution centers to reach consumers from there.
The philosophy of PepsiCo is “Our mission is to be the world's premier consumer products
company focused on convenient foods and beverages (Kwan et al, 2019). We seek to produce
financial rewards to investors as we provide opportunities for growth and enrichment to our
employees, our business partners and the communities in which we operate. And in everything
we do, we strive for honesty, fairness, and integrity” (Jurevicius 2013).
Given the production process of PepsiCo’s products, they stand by their mission
statement. Their mission statement focuses on consumers and product characteristics while
catering to the taste of the consumers. They supply products to consumers around the world
despite differences and varying backgrounds, cultures, and variables of the consumers. The
affordability approach to pricing ensures that no matter what class level consumers are on, all
consumers are afforded the capabilities of purchasing their products. Based on the statements,
PepsiCo produces its products that become easily accessible regarding the market strategy in
which they have set forth and applied to (Mirvis & Googins & Kinnicutt, 2010).
Mission Statement Transmitted to Employees
PepsiCo’s mission statement is transmitted to employees via following their vision of
‘Performance with Purpose’. PepsiCo accentuates high budgetary execution as one of the points
incorporated into its vision explanation (Mirvis & Googins & Kinnicutt, 2010). This factor is a
fundamental business desire. Furthermore, the vision proclamation demonstrates that PepsiCo
coordinates manageability in business exercises. Maintainability upgrades corporate and brand
picture. Additionally, PepsiCo's vision articulation incorporates corporate social obligation. This
factor is a noteworthy effect on the organization's approaches and methodologies on hierarchical
