Introduction
A covenant can get defined as an agreement between two parties. In the Bible, God
entered into agreements with his people. Additionally, he promised to fulfil particular activities,
either conditionally or unconditionally. Theologists have identified at least five agreements
entered into by either, especially in the old testament. We have the Noahic covenant, the Mosaic
Covenant, the Abrahamic Covenant and even the Davidian Covenants among others. The
existence and or implementation of either bond go hand in hand with the availability and the
strictness with which the Torah embeds its articles.
However, the following analysis takes an interest in investigating the hope derived from
both Abrahamic and Mosaic Covenants with regards to their fulfilment based on the laws as
espoused in the first five books of the Bible. In line with the above query, the following analysis
seeks to take a stand on the fact that whereas the Abrahamic covenant points out various
fulfillments with regards to the laws and other facets, the Mosaic Covenant Seems to concentrate
on the Holiness and Respect of God as an issue that weighs on the fulfilment of the covenant.
