I do agree that BP is lagging behind when it comes to safety. However, for this to be fully
implemented in the organization it needs to be in the company’s culture. This will make it easy for
the new employees as well as the old ones to get on board. It also shows that the company is serious
about it. Bring back the Corporate ethics and compliance officer would be one of the very fast acts.
This is because prior to his firing the company had less safety issue which means he was doing a
good job. This will also allow the company to have someone in charge of security. The officer will
