An academic leader has to portray some leadership qualities, which enables him to stand out
among others. A leader strives to be the best among equals to have a more significant influence
on the followers. It is said that leadership and followership are usually linked in one way or

there cannot be good followership without successful leadership. Embracing and involving

Excellent communication skills are essential for every academic leader. An educational leader
with professional communication skills will effectively come up with the best ideas and
