Basic Concepts of Association Analysis
Association analysis is the process which pertains to uncovering relationships in
datasets by businesses to gain a competitive advantage against their competitors by being able to
better understand the relationships which exist in large data sets. It implies that unknown data
relationships will be outlined as a collection inclined to association rules, the frequent Item sets
are therefore determined by an association rule.
Association Rule Mining
Association rule mining is guided by rules such as the if-then statements which
provide an understanding of the probability between given data items with having large data sets
in various forms of databases. An association rule mining at given points involves the application
of machine learning models to help analyze patterns of various data in the given database or in a
co-occurrence manner and expects data to appear in a given format. The
Association analysis process expects the outcome of transactions to appear in a given format
(Vijay and Bala, 2019).
