HOMEWORK # 6 –Greenhouse Gases and Rising Sea Level and their impact

Answer in DETAIL and in a STRONG PARAGRAPH (5-6 Sentences), the following
questions regarding Climate Change, Rising Sea Levels, the Greenhouse Effect and
Greenhouse Gases
1) What is the difference between the Greenhouse effect and the ENHANCED
Greenhouse effect? How does EACH have an impact of the planet?
These two terms look like different parts of the same coin. The greenhouse effect is the
abnormal rising of global surface temperatures from the normal 10degrees Fahrenheit due to
absorption and retention of warmth by greenhouse gases. On the other hand, the enhanced
greenhouse effect comes out when human beings significantly increase the amounts of
greenhouse gases and carbon. This additional heat is caused by increased use of human activities
such as the use of refrigerators, petroleum cars among others. Most of these gases are poor
absorbers of radiation.
