Description
Type a 4 full page minimum, double-space paper (size 12 font in Arial, Calibri, or Times New Roman) on the causes and effects of global climate change. At the top of the page, all you need is your name and title of the paper single spaced. Please do not put anything more to fill up space. You will loose points. You must address how and why climate change happens and what the consequences of it are? How is it affecting the landscape, environment, people, and anything else. What are humans doing to combat climate change? As part of the paper, if you like, you can pick one or a few countries and use them as examples to see how they are being affected by climate change. For the bibliography page, you must use at least 8 sources and list them in MLA or APA format. The bibliography page is not part of the 4 page minimum. In order to receive a 50/50 on the paper, you should not only address all of the above listed issues, but it must also be well thought out and written with very few to no spelling and grammatical errors. Everything you type must be in your own words and any plagiarism will automatically result in a zero. If you use any direct quotes, you must cite them appropriately as per MLA or APA standards. However, I don't expect to see more than 2-3 short (1-2 line) quotes in your entire paper.

Causes and Effects of Global Climate Change
According to Karl & Trenberth (2015), global climate change refers to the change in long
term patterns of the weather which characterizes different regions in the world. Further, weather
can be defined as the short term changes in wind, temperature, as well as precipitation of a given
region and the weather is usually affected by the sun. It is the sun which heats the atmosphere
and the earth’s surface leading to water and air moving around the whole globe.
There are a number of causes of climate change and these causes are majorly divided into
two; natural causes and human induced or artificial causes (Reynolds et.al, 2017). As for the
natural causes they are as a result of things which are beyond human control while for the
artificial causes, they are contributed by the activities of human beings. Climate change has
occurred for a long period of time and it involves greenhouse gases which are available in the
atmosphere absorbing radiation of heat. Also, human activities such as establishment of factories
contribute a lot to the increased greenhouse gases and this has been happening since industrial
revolution at a relatively increasing rate with time (Gosling & Arnell, 2016). This in turn results
to more heat retention as well as increase in the temperatures on the surface of the earth. It is
worth noting that atmospheric aerosols also alter the climate through absorbing and scattering
infrared and solar radiation and they can as well alter the chemical and microphysical properties
of the clouds.
