Your boss has asked you to proofread a letter she drafted to customers announcing the new, higher rates. An ethical dilemma is a situation in which an individual is faced with a decision that tests
the ethical code or moral system, such that conflict of interest opposes ethical code. Indifferently
ethical lapse refers to a mistake or error made in judgment, leading to a disastrous result (Garber,
2008). Auditors acting in a state of independence of mind may be compromised by management,
