Compensation Packages

Compensation packages differ based on several factors and the organizational policies.
As the company's new human resource manager, I would evaluate the different compensation
packages for employees who are located throughout the world based on three factors: culture,
taxation burdens, and working conditions. This is because these three factors vary significantly
in different countries and therefore have to be considered for employees working in different
countries. It would be unjust to assume that the various countries share similar work
environments, culture, or taxation policies because differences exist (Law, 2016). The
differences not only influence the productivity of employees but also influence even the rewards
they receive. For instance, an employee working in a particular country may experience more
hardships than one working in another and hence deserves to be motivated through a better
compensation package. What follows is an analysis of how these factors influence the evaluation
process.

Culture varies in different countries in that employees working in the USA, for instance,
have a different culture to those working in China. The difference in culture influences how
employees view the employee relationships with the company and therefore, how they view the
distribution of rewards through compensation. Furthermore, research conducted on culture and
work relationships indicates that cultural differences affect how employees’ attitudes towards
