This paper is a
response/reaction to "The Tragical History of Doctor Faustus" by
Christopher Marlowe (we read this story in The Norton Anthology of
English Literature 9th edition). The professor wants to know more than
what the story is about and if it is or is not liked. The professor
wants a reason why you feel the way you do about it. It is okay to say
that you did not like the story just include what makes you like/dislike
it. The professor emphasizes that he does not want a book report or a
biography of the author, he claims that it should be a reflection of how
you felt before, during, and after reading the story. He wants you to
"dive beyond the surface" and show how/why it makes you feel the way it
does. Only has to be one page paper in MLA 8th edition.
I procrastinated too long with this assignment (oops) but I know the
writers on this site will be able to write me a well thought out
response paper. Thanks in advance!
