Performance Assessment
Founded in 1885 Miami- Dade County Public Schools is one of the most prominent
district school in Florida. The public school incorporates techniques to determine critical
organizational performance measures. To identify these performance measures, the school
organization must first begin with the articulation of the strategy correctly. This district employs
the Results-oriented model to formulate the performance measures. This is a six-step framework
strategy that starts with the organization trying to refine the objective commentaries with the
intent of clarifying and describing the organizations intended results, have a profound
understanding of the alternative measures, make a selection for the right measurement for every
chosen objective, make definitions of the required composite indices(Abdulla,2006). The
organization sets thresholds and organization targets. Finally, the organization defines and
documents the selected performance measures. It's a simple framework chiefly adhering the best
practices to establish priorities and formulating data-based decisions. For this district schools
precisely such performance measures include Student learning outcomes, budgetary or financial
outcomes, etc.
This performance measures development/ design process is quite useful to the
educational organization. The process ascertains that strategies made by the organization are
easily measurable and to communicate and cascade. The method as well ensures that the
organization designs and selects performance measures that possess more meaning than those
produced through mere benchmarking and brainstorming. The effectiveness of this process is
