Running Head: NUTRITION NEEDS
The human body needs to be properly nourished for it to function normally. In a bid to
achieve it’s physical and biological roles such as movement, growth, reproduction, and ability to
fight diseases the body needs nutrients such as minerals. According to Flint (2019), there are two
subcategories namely macronutrients and micronutrients, the human body is able to absorb
important nutrients such as vitamins, proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. In case the above
nutrients are slowly consumed, the human body is defined to be malnutrition whereas
hyperalimentation occurs when the human body is oversupplied with nutrients.
Combined with adequate physical activity, a balanced diet is important since it aids in
one achieving general health. With a well-maintained weight, the chances and risks of being
diagnosed with a chronic disease are low. Moreover, eating nutritious foods helps the body to
detox and create new cells which fight disease-causing microorganisms hence staying away from
sicknesses. In an instance where an individual feeds junk or nun nutritious foods, the individuals
