Vivian - So, in the example you provided, the positive reinforcer was money (the incentive). I used get gold stars at home when I was in elementary school for certain household duties. I still love those gold stars. :-) In the example you used with encouraging students to read by using money as an incentive reinforcer, how could you use shaping (a form of operant conditioning) or would it be appropriate in this scenario?
