Social and Sexual Behavior at Work Name Institution Introduction  Social sexual behaviors in the workplace commonly get defined as the process in which a person may flirt referring to the body appearances mostly their physical look; it may involve touching, jokes, as well as, stories that are more sexual than any normal conversation.  Sexual harassment is a form of harassment that makes the work environment uncomfortable. The act may be verbal, and at same the time the issue may be physical but either way, it is sexual harassment (Wiesner, Capaldi & Patterson, 2017).. Sexual Harassment  There are effects when it comes to this kind of harassments in the workplace. The productivity of the people at the workplace goes down, and the profitability of the organization gets affected.  There are organizations around the world that try to empower the people in this harassment position. There are those who try to have policies in the work they do to protect mostly women and enable them to fight for their rights (Williams, 2017). Sexual Harassment  Sexual harassment has psychological effect on the staff members.  The employees fear reporting their bosses.  There rules however that protect most of the workers in the work place.  The consequences of this offence may lead to jai terms to the offender. Empowerment Procedures  The most empowered people on sexual harassment are women  Organizations protect the females more than they do the males.  There is need to look into the male sexual harassment front.  The LGBT community too needs protection.  All should get equal hearing in this case. Social Sexual Behavior  Social sexual behavior invokes different sexual expectation from society.  The LGBT in this case get acceptance in most organizations.  There are organizations that encourage flirting as part of working.  Teasing improves relationships in the work place. Self-Esteem Issues  There are those, who would like to get the attention from the significant others sexually as it boosts their ego (Moylan & Wood, 2016).  They feel like they have a sense of belonging when they get such attention from their colleagues overall.  There are those who to entertain the sexual behaviors socially as it can be a source of therapy as they would feel good about themselves hence improve on their moods boosting their working capability Inclusion  The people feel attractive when social sexual behavior is used positively  It boosts self esteems in people  Workers may however feel excluded if this is not done in a positive manner  Exclusion causes resentment and poor performance The LGBT Community  The LGBT community are part of the work force  The organization should protect their rights as their sexual orientation should be respected.  The change also makes the individuals more productive as they are part of the community and they feel like they belong to particular a place generally. Work Engagement  Flirting in the workplace can minimize its bureaucratic nature  There is a sense of pride among the people who take it upon themselves to interact while they exchange information (Beckett ,2018).  The encouragement should have limits as it may lead to sexual harassments. Conclusion  Social sexual behaviors is negative when it comes to the harassments in the organization  Positive behaviors on the same topic improve relations in the organization  There is need of encouraging the positive and discouraging the negatives References Beckett, K.
