Introduction
Academic honesty and integrity are two fundamental aspects that should be upheld by all
institutions and learners to ensure the process of gaining knowledge is worth. High standards
should, therefore, be observed at all costs because failure to do so will negate the basis of
education and the efforts of others in society. That is, the learning process will fail to attain its
purpose. Academic integrity is the process in which one does the right thing even without
supervision (Taylor & Bicak, 2018). It involves the ability of one to uphold the academic
policies set by the college regarding honesty. Adhering to this means that one is ready for his/her
work even when somebody else offers to assist in a take-home examination. It also includes one
