A bike was marked down by 1/4 of the original price. If the sales price is $250 what is the original price?

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

We have been given the sales price as $250.

Let the original price be $x.

It is marked down by 1/4.

So the orginal price -Discount=Sales price

x-x/4 =250

3x/4 =250

x=$333.33(answer)

Original Price =$333.33

Thank you very much. I have a question though, how did you get 3/4
