The Illiad is one outstanding story by Homer that brings Greek culture into perspective in such a
right way. Among other myths and legends, the story is one that takes an unconventional turn
bringing characters of Grecian hero stories into one single encounter. In the story, there is the
incorporation of all aspects of Greek literature and a distinct emphasis on the mystic and
supernatural. in a story that incorporates gods, nymphs and other entities of Greek religion and
beliefs, the story is much a celebration of the glory of war. A theme that pervades much of the
traditional stories in the past, the beauty of victory in war is somewhat more pronounced in
