Racial segregation in the 19th century was so rampant in the United States to the point
that the blacks were being imprisoned for fighting for their rights. One of the culprits was Dr.
Martin Luther King Jr, who was arrested and imprisoned for holding some peaceful
demonstrations. During his time in the Birmingham city jail, he came across a letter published in
the newspaper, which calls his actions to demonstrate as "unwise." Martin Luther King Jr took
the decision to respond to the newspaper reports in a letter dubbed as the “Letter from
