Case presentation
Mrs. JP has diagnosed with diabetes at 21 weeks gestations, and she has been under
medication since the time the doctor realized this condition. Gestational Diabetic Mellitus is a
condition that comes about whenever there is abnormal glucose metabolism that arises during
pregnancy, and it can lead to the patient developing type 2 diabetes. The patient has been under
evaluation as well as being provided with the information regarding the condition to ensure that
they maintain the normoglycemia for their wellbeing and the well-being of the fetal.
Assessment
The assessment data was majorly based on the responses provided by the patient, and she
stated that the condition was worse during the first trimester with a lot of changes taking place in
