area is given by length multiplied by width, therefore 4XxX=196

4X^2=196

X^2=49

X=7 ; This means the width of the rectangle is 7m while the length is 28m.

perimeter of a rectangle is given by sum of the four sides of the rectangle, therefore

perimeter= 7+28+7+28

perimeter=70 meters
