kilogram. The low carbs diet aims to achieve the metabolic changes just like in the starvation
states. While the DASH Diet is based on the fact concerning hypertension, Ketogenic dietary is
grounded upon the theory of ketone bodies. Addition, similar to the DASH Diet, Ketogenic diet
has prebiotic components that result in metabolic changes.
Mediterranean diet closely resembles the DASH Diet. It is used to prevent and treat
cardiovascular diseases. Its components are almost similar to that of DASH Diet, for instance, it
comprises of fish, whole grains, fruits, monounsaturated fats mainly from the olive oil, nuts, and
vegetables. The two diets aim to treat cardiovascular conditions as hypertension is one of the
cardiovascular diseases. Unlike the two popular diets, it does not contain the prebiotic
components in its diets.
