After reading my classmate’s draft and watch the video about “the known- new contract”
I changed my article’s theme and purpose. I feel like my article was strayed off topic,So I
decided to incorporate the element of media in my paper. I decided to change my topic to “The
Internet and the Impact of Substance Use Disorders on Families and Children” I begin to think
about how to improve my sentence and I tried to add more information about the influence of
media in the article and highlight the role of the media in the spread of drugs. Now my article
still needs to make some adjustment. According to the video “the known- new contract” I tried to
convert more information and new ideas to reader. I did more research online and focus on how
the internet have a tremendous effect on substance abuse in young people and their families, such
as, Many information on the Internet that lures young people to use drugs, Young people can
easily buy drugs online, I also try to make a well-worn subject fresh and delay known
information unfamiliar. There is an example how I improve my sentence.
The drug mostly used by teens is marijuana (From the draft).
Through my research, I have realized that substance use disorders have a prolonged effect on
the individual and family systems, which also includes the children. Young adolescents tend to
favor inhalant substances, so marijuana is the most common and most accessible to
children.(after improve)

Northern Virginia Community College Health Reform & American Presidents Essay
Write a 1-2 page essay (double space) on the process of passing health reform, based on the "Obama's Deal video [Length 56:16] (Links to an external site.)".ACA, or Obamacare, remains a highly controversial policy, and many opinions have been expressed about it. I don't want you to like it or hate it. I just want you to analyze what you have read in your textbook and saw and read on the "Obama's Deal" video website (Links to an external site.) with some degree of objectivity and critical thought. You can refer to my earlier statements on netiquette and political politeness on that matter.Approach this assignment with the following questions in mind:How well does the video match up with the textbook and the authors’ description of the legislative process. Be sure to cite specifics from the textbook. Does the textbook make the process look more or less confusing or difficult than the video? Explain in your essay. What are the most surprising aspects of the ACA as covered in the video? What might have been done differently?Essay Formatting RequirementsEssay Length: Your paper should be 1-2 double-spaced pages with size 11-12 font, one inch margins, and saved to a Microsoft Word document.Sources: It is fine for you to rely entirely on the video and textbook as your resources for the essay. However, you can search for other references that lend weight to your analysis. You may go to NOVA Library website (Links to an external site.)to search for other referenceNEXT SECTIONPart I: Initial ResponseAmong the many people a president appoints in the Executive Branch of government (from the Cabinet, to the Executive Office of the President, which includes the White House Office), identify three positions that you think are among the most important officials to help a president be successful and include the following:Explain why these positions are most crucial for a president’s success (aside from the president him- or herself)? How do those officials interact with the president (think about the frequency and quality of access)?Refer to the textbook and, if necessary, other resources to make sure you understand the roles of these three officials and explain why they are so important. Please focus on the role itself, although you may cite examples of people who held those roles to help explain your rationale. Each position you choose should be supported by a paragraph of multiple sentences.Remember to properly cite all resources. The strongest submissions will include historical examples of officials and programs or policy successes that support your position.

SOCW 3004 Walden University Research Question and Locating the Best Available Evidence Worksheet
Discussion 1 (A) .Library databases, with journal articles, are a good place to start searching the evidence. Different search strategies help you to cast a wider net to locate the evidence. For example, look under several different search terms related your topic. If you are looking for research regarding child sexual abuse, add more than those terms in the search box. Search also for child abuse, domestic violence, child welfare, and so on. Breaking up your answerable research question into many different synonyms will help expand your search. You can also look at keywords that articles provide to give you more search options on your topic. For this Discussion, you will utilize the Walden Library Database to begin to locate research articles related to your research question. You will then provide feedback to use in their Assignment this weekPost:Briefly, describe the problem or population you are interested in studying.Identify your research question.Briefly describe your search strategy.Identify at least 3 key terms used in your search.Identify one research article related to your population of interest/research question.Provide APA citation for on article that you found.Explain how effectively searching scholarly research connects to evidence-based practice and benefits your social work practice. Discussion 1 (B) Ethics in Social Work Research. In response to numerous unethical research experiments, such as the Tuskegee study, federal law now governs research ethics in studies involving human subjects. When a social worker wishes to conduct research on humans, they must follow specific standards to ensure that no harm comes to participants and that participants are aware of their rights.Following ethical guidelines in social work research is essential to understanding best practice. In this Discussion, you consider the intersection of research and ethics on human subjects. You will apply research ethics when working with vulnerable populations.Post:Identify ethical issues in research and practice based on human values.Identify a specific population that has been targeted by unethical research.Explain the ways that mistreatment of minorities in research has been a major impetus for the development of ethical standards for research with human subjects.Describe how ethical standards in research protects the rights of human participants.Explain how the research identified by each colleague could have been conducted in an ethical manner.
