Introduction

As human beings, we face a lot of activities and events in our lives that in one way or the
other result to stress. Stress weighs us down, and despite slowing us down by influencing our
normal performance of activities, stress also brings about health problems and mental disorders
that severely affect us. As human beings, it is equally significant to understand how stress affects
our bodies and to learn effective ways that we can use to manage stress and avoid stressful
events. This paper aims at explaining what stress is, its cause, as well as the effects of stress on
our minds and body as well as explaining the effective ways of stress management and stress
elevation.
What Is Stress?
Predicting Psychological Disorders by Astrology (2014) explains that there exist a lot of
definitions of stress depending on the environment of an individual. Scientists and psychologists
argue that stress is basically the bodies’ way of responding to the various changes in one’s life.
Human life and environment involve a lot of changes and shifts. Such changes and shifts are
constant and may range from the constant change of one's location from the workplace and
home. Despite the usual routine from home to work, there exist other environmental changes
such as marriage, death of a loved one, and factors such as divorce. As human beings, there is no
single way that we can avoid stress; however, we can eliminate such stress and stressors. Going
by such, as human beings, we ought to minimize stress but not set goals of eliminating stress.
Stress appears differently on individuals, and what one might consider being stressful may not be
