Alcohol is a depressant drug that is found in alcoholic drinks. An alcoholic drink is one
that has a certain percentage of ethanol in it. The effects of drinking alcohol depend on the amount
consumed and the percentage of ethanol in the drink. Several alcoholic drinks have different
alcoholic percentages, and this leads to differentiation in effects depending on the brand consumed.
To the consumers, alcohol is both medicine and celebratory aider while to the suppliers, it is a
product in business that creates a lot of profit. Alcohol, therefore, has diverse views in society, and
most cultures view it as less harmful than other drugs.
