Description

While this is very well done, you haven't included any in-text citations in here, which is technically plagiarism. You need to credit every piece of information that you used tot he proper source. After each piece of information that you use, you need to put a parenthetical citation. For example sourced information ("Eradicate Extreme Poverty and Hunger") or (Mason). Also, work on wrapping your image so that you don't have to leave the image for the end.

Alwakeel 1 Sandra Alwakeel Brianna Kuhn English 124 6/20/2019 Ludwik Rajchman According to Wikipedia Ludwik Witold Rajchman was a Polish physician and bacteriologist. He was born on November 1st, 1881, in Warsaw, Poland, and he died on July 13th, 1965, in Chenu, France. Rajchman was the founder of the organization UNICEF, also known as The United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund. It was founded on December 11th, 1946, in New York. “For 70 years, UNICEF has worked to improve the lives of children and their families”. The mission of UNICEF is to "advocate for the protection of children's rights, to help meet their basic needs, and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential. "Despite remarkable challenges around the world, UNICEF staffers fight for the rights of every child seeking safe shelter, nutrition, protection from disasters, conflicts, and equality”. Some regions of the world are suffering from a severe shortage of services. More than 1 billion children are severely deprived of health, nutrition, education, and 90 percent of children are malnourished. Poverty is a factor in more than half of all child deaths in developing countries, and about 270 million children do not have access to health care. Helping the world's children is a necessary step in providing them with primary education, health Alwakeel 2 care, and seeking to improve home care for children. Being uneducated is currently leading to widespread poverty. Education is the right solution for children against poverty. UNICEF works in 158 countries and calls on all governments and communities to promote education for all children. There are solutions to address child poverty with the support of the 20 institutions in the Alliance for the Eradication of Poverty in rural Leusto, but families are not receiving the assistance they need because they are unknown to the government. UNICEF seeks to find every family at risk and provide social protection for children. In the mountainous kingdom of Lesotho in South Africa, UNICEF has set up an organization funded by the European Union, which aims to reach needy families and add everyone to the database called NESA, which aims to provide individual assistance to orphans and children. Mobile messages are also offered in mountain villages of Leosto. HIV, and AIDS prevention. In 2014, the Ebola virus spread in West Africa, killing more than 11,000 people and more than 12,000 children who lost their parents. Three years later, devastating floods occurred in the capital, killing 1,141 people and displacing 3,000 people. Serayun is one of the most impoverished countries. UNICEF has worked with families to help children return to school and rebuild homes. UNICEF and its partners support the people of Sweden and provide about 260 US dollars, which they use for activities such as agriculture and soap production. In the year of 2017 Foday and Mamiesia Kallon and their son lived a normal and happy life in Freetown’s Dwarzark community. But on August 14, floods swept through their home, losing all their possessions. The family was one of the thousands affected by the floods that swept the capital, and many had to live in makeshift camps. The United Kingdom's Department of International Development (DFID) made a small cash payment to Foday and Mamiesia. Mamiesia has started a small business selling shoes. Alwakeel 3 Furthermore, another event the UNICEF worked on is supporting a family financially to receive an education. The Serbian family contains 3 children and a pregnant mother. The children ages 12 years old, ten years old and a sister about to start kindergarten. The mother can’t offer money for her children to go to school, and her husband can barely pay their rent and other bills. The children don’t have any school supplies. The mother explained her situation by saying "School, textbooks, and kindergarten would all be just a pipe dream for us if we hadn't received the financial assistance". Radimla helped this family get their financial support by obtaining necessary documents such as birth certificates, place of residence certificates, and citizenship certificates. Radimla taught them how to fill important applications to receive financial assistance. Now this family is receiving financial support every month. The mother Djina feels happy "If we weren't getting this money, I doubt whether Selma and Enver would be enrolled in school. It's not much when you have three children and a fourth on the way, but it does help. I'm satisfied and happy. The children listen to me and they are doing well in school. I want them to be healthy, and smarter than me and their dad – and not to get married too young. For now, they are on the right track", Djina says. Alwakeel 4 UNICEF is committed to making every dollar used to save the lives of poor people, and UNICEF gets money through donations. UNICEF works at all times and even in times of emergency. Children and young people can be helped anywhere in the world during the hour. UNICEF's work for children is possible, through strong partnerships with governments and civil society. The only thing that matters to UNICEF is to achieve success by reaching poor people, working day and day, in the most difficult places to reach the neediest children. To give them a childhood where they enjoy health and education and give them a chance to achieve their dreams.
