Many organizations have now adopted or begun to offer cloud computing. This type of computing has advantages and disadvantages that may vary from organization to organization.
Select two (2) organizations in which you are interested in and use the Internet and Strayer Library to research the advantages and disadvantages of cloud computing for the selected organizations. Use the Internet to research the characteristics of organizations most likely to use cloud computing.
Write a three to four (3-4) page paper in which you:
- Determine whether or not there are definite characteristics of organizations that are more likely to use cloud computing than other organizations. Provide a rationale for your response.
- Examine the major advantages and disadvantages of cloud computing for the two (2) selected organizations. Recommend whether or not each of the selected companies should use cloud computing. Provide a rationale for your response.
- Determine whether or not government agencies such as the National Security Agency (NSA) or Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) would be good candidates for cloud computing. Provide a rationale for your response.
- Use at least three (3) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources.

Characteristics of organizations more likely to use cloud computing
Organizations increasingly prefer cloud computing to reduce costs as well as increase
flexibility due to the pay per use policy and speed of data access. For example, in firms that rely
heavily on data analytics in marketing, cloud computing provides the necessary solution for big
data needs. Moreover, firms that are heavily reliant on online marketing such as Alibaba need
cloud computing to not only market their products on the global market but also benefit from
more accessible data analytics, fewer costs of data storage and access as well as better
management of financial transactions online. Cloud computation allows easier aggregation of
data from multiple sources without heavy financial outlays.
Organizations in the financial industry are also benefitting from cloud computing because of
the minute by minute reporting, update and tracking of financial data to give a competitive edge
to vital investment decisions. For example, Goldman Sachs is one of the firms that adopted the
technology early and through cloud computing, the firm has been able to manage risk better as
