I was an emancipated adult living on a limited budget at the time. When i went out to buy food that would last me the week I didn't think I simply went and bought not what i needed but what I wanted. By doing that I had no money for other things by mid to end of the week.After a couple of weeks struggling to make it through. I learned that I would have to stop buying what I wanted and only get what i really needed. By doing that I had saved enough money to last me through the week without struggling.2nd reply neededMoment of Critical Thinking - Mon Mar 2 14:35Marisa SarbuWhen I first started to work in 2011 and bring in money for bills I thought that I had it down. I didn't do too bad, however I wasn't leaving money left over for anything else. I was also running out of food quickly. I started to think about how I was shopping when I would go. I would take trips to Walmart because it was closer and I did not have a car. I would also go to Fred Meyers. I then started to evaluate things at a closer look. I asked my dad if he would take me to other stores so that I could look at what I was doing wrong. I could not figure it out. He also wasn't always available to take me to the stores. in 2016 I had taken a new spot in a new company and I had got myself a car. I started to take myself to Winco and that was when I started to find how to spend the money in a better way to save. There were things I still needed at the other stores because they were cheaper. Most things from Winco were cheaper. It took me a few years to get the grasp of things down. Honestly it took me growing up and learning that I really needed my own car. Trying to get rides from others can be hard.
