Question description

I want to ask how do we record age if we are just observing the people?  Would you just put them in age ranges.

A study of how often people wash their hands in public restrooms.

Method of data collection is observational study where we will gather information about how often people wash their hands in public restrooms. Population of interest:-People who wash hand in public restrooms. As we cannot ask each and every individual of the population therefore we wiil carry out sampling technique. It is a case of stratified sampling. Consider the case where the observation is conducted by 12 research assistant and observation of washing hands is observed and recorded in standard coding form which include the subject, date, age, sex and hand washing behavior. So here we are dividing the population into groups and then observing the effect from each public restroom.

Do you think that there could be another method used instead of stratified sampling?
